Gloucester County 9-1-1
The Gloucester County 9-1-1 Office is located in the County Complex on Delsea Drive in Clayton, New Jersey in the Emergency Response Center.
This section will provide some helpful information for our residents on the proper use of 9-1-1, some information on what to have on hand to prepare to dial 9-1-1, and some assistance of what you can do to make it easier for an Emergency Responder to find your house or place of business in the event you have to dial 9-1-1.
- Post 9-1-1 at your telephone - Have the 9-1-1 number posted for your family members and guests to your home.
- Display your house number clearly - Have your house number posted as clearly as possible and able to be seen from the road. If your residence or place of business is located off of the road, it is important to place a post with your 9-1-1 address on the post at your driveway. Some of the municipalities in the county have 9-1-1 ordinances that require these address posts and mandate size of and colors of your 9-1-1 addresses.
- Know your nearest Intersection - The nearest intersection to your house is very helpful in an emergency so that the Dispatcher can pinpoint your exact location.
- Post Important Medical Information - Any past medical history of a family member who is ill or visitors can assist the Dispatchers to send the proper medical assistance.
