Scotland Run Park Nature Center Grand Opening
Saturday, April 13, 2019    10am-3pm
The newly renovated Nature Center will feature live animals such as corn snakes, spotted salamanders, turtles and more. Park Naturalist and Rowan Professor, Dr. Daniel Duran will be available for a meet and greet throughout the day and will present a lecture at 2pm.

Water Fest
Sunday, June 2, 2019    11am to 4pm
Event is FREE and held rain or shine.
The 22nd Annual Water Fest is the County’s largest environmental fair featuring live animal shows, exhibits, crafts, food, canoeing and kayaking. Live music throughout Water Fest provided by The Ian Goode Trio.

Bwana Jim Animal Shows: 12pm, 1:30pm, and 3pm
Face Painting: 11:30am-3:30pm

If you want you enjoy a nice day exploring natural attractions while helping the local science community please join us. Our Bio Blitz is a 24 hour event that focuses on identifying and quantifying as many species as possible in Scotland Run Park. The community and researchers work together to learn more about local biodiversity. The public is welcome to pitch a tent and stay overnight!

4:00 – 4:45pm Botany walk (with Karl Anderson)
6:00 – 6:45pm Bird walk (with Gloucester County Nature Club)
9:00pm onward Light trapping for moths

Boating and non boating categories.
Trophies for 1st and 2nd place in each categories.

Contest Rules
One rod and reel per person
Bring your own bait
Kids 16 and older must be licensed
Return uninjured fish to the lake
Final weigh in at 11:30am
