            Random Acts of Kindness (RAK)

The GCCP seeks to recognize and reward individuals up to 18 years of age who have engaged in Random Acts of Kindness towards fellow students/teachers at their schools, neighborhoods, or their community. At times adults become too focused on the negative stories involving young individuals and lose sight of the good work being done by young individuals throughout this area.

Schools United for Respect & Equality (SURE)

This group is a collective effort of the Community Relations team of the GCPO, County Youth Services Commission, Municipal Alliances, and public schools of Gloucester County. The mission of this group is: "To impact the community through our ideals of respect and equality by portraying these values in everyday life, through student involvement and teamwork." SURE Clubs in each high school provide opportunities for students to discuss and combat issues important to them such as racism, bullying, sexism, human trafficking, etc. This group also plans an annual SURE Summit for the student leaders of the group to train in these issues and take those leadership skills back to their individual schools. It helps bring students, teachers, and County Services closer together to make a difference among young people today.
