Counter-Terrorism Unit

Lieutenant Ronald F. Koller, Jr.
County Counter-Terrorism Coordinator

In each of the State's twenty-one (21) counties, there is a County Counter-Terrorism Coordinator who acts under the auspices of the State of New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness.

The role of the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office Counter-Terrorism Unit is to coordinate Gloucester County's efforts with the goals of identifying, deterring, detecting terrorist-related activities, and to investigate acts of threats to any school, workplace or houses of worship, consistent with the New Jersey Domestic Security Preparedness Act.

A cooperative effort exists between the FBI, State Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness, New Jersey State Police and the County Office to gather and disseminate intelligence to all twenty local law enforcement agencies, as well as campus police, as it relates to counter-terrorism. There also is a cooperative relationship with private industry and other entities that may be potential targets of terrorism where information is shared and security recommendations are made.

The Counter-Terrorism Unit of the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office can be reached at (856) 384-5605, during normal business hours, or through the Gloucester County Emergency Response Center at (856) 589-0911 during the evening, weekends, and holidays. If your call is emergent, you should call 911.
