RCGC hosts ACT Graduation

RCGC hosts ACT Graduation

(Sewell, NJ) Rowan College at Gloucester County was excited to host this year's ACT Graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 3 with Freeholder Heather Simmons giving the welcoming remarks and congratulating the graduates.

The Adult Center for Transition, or ACT, is a post-secondary experience that prepares young adults with disabilities to become independent, contributing members of society.  By focusing on student goals and strengths, ACT provides targeted academic, social and vocational education to prepare each graduate for tomorrow's competitive workforce.

Freeholder Simmons, liaison to the Department of Economic Development and Public Works, said, "It’s always an amazing experience to graduate, no matter what you are graduating from. These students are extremely talented and hardworking and will go on to do great things, no matter where their paths take them after this graduation. Whether it is on to further schooling, into the workforce, or anything else, we have high hopes that they will continue to succeed."

The RCGC ACT program proudly recognizes those students who have completed their programs and are ready to pursue a college education or employment.
