US Marshals Service and Sheriff's Office provided training to law enforcement agencies
(Deptford, NJ) – The United States Marshals Service and the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office sponsored Introduction to Fugitive Investigations, a two-day training seminar that took place at Adelphia’s Conference Center.
Sheriff Carmel M. Morina welcomed 100 law enforcement officers from 46 local, county, state and federal agencies to the seminar. Gloucester County Freeholder Dan Christy also attended and thanked everyone for his or her service and for taking part in the training.
Sheriff Morina said, "This was a valuable training session and many experts came together to provide their knowledge in areas that help law enforcement handle complex operations and investigations."
Sheriff Morina said that the training covered a variety of subjects including: Fugitive Missions and Case Study; Technical Operations; Statement Analysis; Fourth Amendment legal issues in Fugitive Investigations; Operational Planning and Case Preparation; and Sex Offender Fugitive Investigations. The training concluded on the second day with a block of instruction on Analysis of Active Shooters in Schools and Work Place.
The United States Marshals Service, Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office provided instructors. Participants received a certificate of attendance from the United States Marshals Service.
