New signal at Center Square Road with Commerce Boulevard and Sharptown Road operational and work completed on $240,000 project
(Logan, NJ) – Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger, and Freeholder Frank J. DiMarco turned on the new traffic signal today at the intersection of Center Square Road with Commerce Blvd. and Sharptown Road in Logan Township.
Freeholder Director Damminger said, "Center Square Road is a heavily traveled roadway and the addition of the traffic light allows for safer travel."
Freeholder Heather Simmons, liaison to Public Works, said that the $240,000.00 grant funded improvements included construction of a new fully actuated traffic signal at the existing intersection of Center Square Road (CR 620) with Commerce Blvd. and Sharptown Rd. in the Township of Logan. The installation of the traffic signal also includes the construction of pedestrian facilities at the intersection and the restriping of the roadway approaches. New traffic signing was also included in support of the signal to improve the safety and traffic flow through the intersection.
Simmons said, “This project was partially grant funded by the NJDOT and the improvements to the roadway will allow for easier accessibility for the businesses in the area to receive deliveries.”
