Volunteers
If you love animals and have a few hours to give, you can become a volunteer at the Gloucester County Animal Shelter! Volunteers can help in a number of different ways:
- Assist with other tasks, such as light cleaning or assisting in our laundry room
- Escorting potential pet parents through our adoption areas
- Socializing cats and kittens
- Taking dogs outside for walks
Potential volunteers must be over 18 years of age (we're sorry, no exceptions). To get started, all you need to do is complete a volunteer application then attend a volunteer orientation. You can give as much or as little time as you can afford. There is never a time commitment required. Please contact us today if you would like to learn more!
Foster a Pet
We are always looking for responsible, animal-loving people who are willing to open up their hearts and homes to animals. Sometimes the shelter doesn't have the ability to help these animals and looks for caring individuals to give their time and care. Some of the types of animals that may need a foster home are sick dogs or cats, mommies with litters of kittens or puppies (especially babies that need to be bottle-fed), or animals that need to be socialized or trained. Please contact us today if you would like to learn more!
