St. Patrick’s Day Spring Wildflower Talk and Walk - 3/19
Spring is just about to start! And for some flowers it has already started. Come join us at Scotland Run Park for an informative presentation about South Jersey spring wildflowers followed by a walk around Scotland Run Park. This program is free to the public, but registration is required.

It's Spring Fest at Red Bank Battlefield. Come and celebrate spring with us and enjoy crafters, vendors, farm animals, colonial demonstrators and more.

Earth Day Event - 4/23
Join us at Scotland Run Park for our annual Earth Day event where we will celebrate nature and environmental sustainability focusing on New Jersey and our local area. The event will feature Gloucester County Naturalist and Rowan professor, Dr. Dan Duran, presenting a talk about how we can help regenerate the natural world starting with our own yards. Exhibitors will be present and will provide more information about how to be environmentally friendly.

Ready to get your Garden Started? Come join us and take advantage of our Q & A booth to get answers to your gardening questions, Free pH soil testing and gardening seminars on a variety of topics. Plants will also be available for sale.

Picklenic - 5/14 - Postponed to May 15
Join Gloucester County for its 3rd annual pickleball picnic! Register online prior to the event. When registering on-line a waiver will be generated. We will also have waivers at the registration table for those who do not sign up on line. Enjoy live music throughout the morning.

Family History Day - Vintage Baseball Demo - 6/26
Did you know that South Jersey was a hotbed of baseball in the early days of the sport? Join us at Red Bank Battlefield on June 26 for Baseball History Day! There will be displays of vintage baseball uniforms, equipment and other memorabilia in the Whitall House, as well as demonstrations of “Base Ball” as it was played at the turn of the last century. Come out, have a hotdog, and enjoy the “Old Ball Game!”

It's Christmas in July! The Muppets' version of the Dickens holiday classic about a miser who's visited by three ghosts features Kermit the Frog as the penny-pincher's hardworking and loyal employee.

Moth Night - 7/23
Come take part in our annual Moth Night at Scotland Run Park where we showcase the beauty and diversity of our local moths, many of which rival butterflies in attractiveness! The event will be posted to the Gloucester County website and on the Scotland Run Park Facebook page. Members of the public will learn about how to attract and identify moths at their own houses/yards! Participants can send in their finds to the Facebook page, as well.

Family History Day - African American History - 8/21
Family History Day will offer special battlefield tours highlighting the role African Americans played at the Battle of Red Bank. The Whitall House will be open for tours with a hearth cooking demonstration.

Waterfest - 9/18
The 23rd Annual Water Fest is the County’s largest environmental fair featuring live animal shows, exhibits, crafts, food, canoeing and kayaking. Visit the Nature Center and participate in a Lake Study. Live music throughout Water Fest provided by The Ian Goode Trio.

Family History Day - 9/25
The day will feature hands on crafts, games, and activities. Special programs will include a children's muster drill, what it was like to be a Revolutionary War soldier, and hearth cooking demonstrations.

18th Century Field Day - 10/23
Enjoy living history demonstrations, artillery drills, cannon demonstrations, and meet Revolutionary War soldiers! Learn about the Battle of Red Bank and why New Jersey is called "The Crossroads of the American Revolution." Tour the battlefield and enjoy vendors, food, and fun! Cheer on the Jonas Cattell participants at the finish line. Fun, food, and activities for everyone!

Jonas Cattell Run & Fort Mercer 5K - 10/23
This is a historical run to commemorate Jonas Cattell's warning Fort Mercer of attack on October 22, 1777. This scenic 10 mile race begins at Mechanic Street and Kings Highway in Haddonfield and ends at Red Bank Battlefield in National Park.
