Trout Season begins at Gloucester County Parks

The Gloucester County Board of Commissioners and Department of Parks and Recreation announce trout season will begin on Saturday, April 10.

“Beginning Saturday, April 10 at 8 a.m., licensed sportsmen and women are encouraged to get outside and start fishing,” said Commissioner Director Robert M. Damminger.

To fish for trout, a valid New Jersey fishing license and trout stamp are both required for residents at least 16 years and less than 70 years of age plus all non-residents 16 years and older.

There are two County owned parks that allow fishing: Scotland Run Park and Greenwich Lake Park. You must have a valid fishing license to fish at any of the County Parks.

“Gloucester County takes a lot of pride in our parks and the amenities we have to offer. Our parks provide a great setting to experience the beauty of nature,” said Commissioner Jim Lavender.

Please continue to abide by social distancing regulations and mask mandates while fishing at the parks.
