(Clayton, NJ)—The Gloucester County Animal Shelter is currently accepting donations to assist with the care for our cats, dogs and other animals living at the shelter.
“Before animals find their forever homes, they are in the care of the employees and volunteers at the shelter,” explained Commissioner Director Robert M. Damminger. “The shelter’s staff works extremely hard to keep our animals comfortable and they are seeking donations to continue to do so.”
The shelter is currently looking for canned cat food, small animal food (guinea pig, hamster, rabbit etc.), dog and cat treats, wild birdseed, dog and cat toys, naturalized sterilized bones, fabric softener sheets, antibacterial hand soap, bleach and laundry detergent (HE only), dishwasher detergent and disinfecting wipes.

“The shelter staff will take the time with each visitor to make sure they are comfortable with their choice before taking their forever pet home,” said Deputy Director Frank J. DiMarco, liaison to the Animal Shelter.
Animals at the shelter are currently available at a discounted adoption rate. Animals 6 years old and younger will have their adoption fees reduced to $35. Dogs and cats 6 years and older will have their adoption fees completely waived.
The shelter's adoption department is open Tuesday-Thursday 12 p.m.– 7 p.m. and Friday– Saturday 12 p.m.– 4 p.m. An approved application is not required to walk through the kennel, but we do encourage you to fill an application out prior to arrival just in case you would like to meet an animal available for adoption!
