[ARCHIVED] Director Robert M. Damminger instructs landfill to remain open Monday, Sept. 6

Robert M. Damminger, Director of the Gloucester County Board of Commissioners, has instructed the Gloucester County Solid Waste Complex (Landfill) to remain open on Monday, Sept. 6 from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.

“Residents, County Crews and Municipalities are working to clear the debris caused by the September 1 hurricane. Roads continue to open and we are now focused on debris removal.

For all residents affected by the storm, the Gloucester County Solid Waste Complex will remain on open on Monday, Sept. 6. Residents affected can bring debris and drop it off for proper disposal.

Dumpsters remain at Southeast Avenue in Wenonah and Salvatore Ave in Harrison Twp.

We will continue to offer these dumpsters to all affected townships and borough as streets continue to be cleared across the County.

Additionally, Gloucester County Public Works crews will be picking up debris at houses. If you have debris that needs removal, please leave it at the front of your house for pickup. We ask residents to be patient as we begin pickups across the county. It’s very important to keep debris off the roadways so do your best to keep it close to the curb line.

We are committed to rebuilding. We can do this together, Gloucester County.”
