Re: Washington Township Attempted Murder/Stabbing
On Monday, January 31, 2022, at approximately 11:22 a.m., officers from the Washington Township Police Department were dispatched to a residence on Meeting House Road, Turnersville, New Jersey for a stabbing. The male victim had called 9-1-1 reporting that a female, identified as 38-year-old Megan M. Falk, stabbed him several times before fleeing the residence. The victim was transported to the Cooper Hospital Trauma Center in Camden City for treatment. The female suspect was taken into custody by Washington Township PD personnel after it was discovered she was hiding in a detached shed at a nearby residence.
As a result of the joint investigation by the WTPD and GCPO, Falk was charged with the following crimes:
Criminal Attempt Murder
Possession of a Weapon
Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose
Falk was lodged in the Salem County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing.
Despite these charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant has all of their rights as guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and State Law.
