(Sewell, NJ) –On Thursday, July 28, the Gloucester County Board of Commissioners will sponsor the annual Disability Employment Job Fair and Resource Event from 9 a.m. to noon at Rowan College of South Jersey’s Gymnasium (1400 Tanyard Rd., Sewell), according to Deputy Director Heather Simmons, Liaison to Economic Development.
Preceding the Employment Fair, free workshops are available to assist with your job searching techniques, writing an effective resume, and social media and job fair strategies. Workshops will be held at the Stephen M. Sweeney Center for Special Services Room 112, 530 Salina Rd., Sewell, NJ 08080 on the following dates:
Thursday, July 21, 2:00 pm—3:00 pm
Monday, July 25 4:00 pm–5:00 pm (VIRTUAL)
Tuesday, July 26, 6:00 pm—7:00 pm

"The goal of the Disability Job Fair is to open more doors to employment opportunities for job seekers with disabilities. Our workshops prepare job seekers for the fair and give them the confidence to find the job that’s right for them,” said Director Frank J. DiMarco. “Attendees should dress for success and bring copies of your resume."
Deputy Director Simmons added, “We are committed to providing resources and opportunities to individuals with disabilities so they can meet employers with job openings and gain more insight on what type of employment opportunities are available to them.”
Commissioner Jim Jefferson, Liaison to the Department of Health and Human Services said, “We encourage all potential employers to embrace diversity as they seek to fill positions by considering the talents of all workers, including those with disabilities.”
