Healthcare Job Fair planned for June 23
Gloucester County Board of Commissioners along with the Department of Economic Development will be hosting a healthcare job fair from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Rowan College of South Jersey on June 23.
The fair will feature career opportunities, training programs, education programs and resources to help job seekers break into the medical field or find a job with a local healthcare provider.
"The healthcare workforce is growing in Gloucester County. We’re seeing an increase in the availability of jobs in the healthcare sector and know that these positions are good, high paying jobs with career advancement opportunities,” said Director Frank J. DiMarco.
The job fair is free and will be held in the Eugene McCaffrey College Center on the campus of Rowan College of South Jersey, 1400 Tanyard Rd. Sewell NJ 08080.
“Job Fairs connect our qualified workforce with quality jobs within our community. In the healthcare industry there are many opportunities for apprenticeship programs and on the job training programs if you are just starting out your career,” said Deputy Director Heather Simmons. “This specific job fair is open to everyone interested in entering the healthcare field or those already practicing and looking for a change.”
Contributing $37 billion to New Jersey’s economy annually, healthcare employment and wages have increased every year since 1990, making it one of the fastest growing industries in NJ and Gloucester County.
Director DiMarco and Deputy Director Simmons encourage everyone to visit the fair to learn more about opportunities in Gloucester County and bring copies of their resume for employers.
