(Sewell, NJ)—The Gloucester County Mega Vaccination Site is aware and preparing for the second dose appointments of the COVID-19 Vaccine.
Gloucester County’s Mega Vaccination Site is currently using the New Jersey Vaccine Scheduling System (NJVSS) to schedule all vaccine appointments. This system is operated and maintained by the State of New Jersey.
Gloucester County is unable to currently schedule second dose appointments for individuals visiting the site for their first dose because the NJVSS does not have those capabilities.
Some visitors have already received their second dose email, while others are waiting. The State has reported that emails for second dose scheduling will continue to be released.
Gloucester County is hopeful the state will update their capabilities and give us the option to schedule second dose appointments on-site in the near future. Additionally, Gloucester County is working to create our own scheduling system so we can easily accommodate our guests for the second dosage.
We know one way or another, Gloucester County will be able to provide your second dosage.
The State releases vaccine appointments as vaccines are available. We understand the frustration on wait times, but we urge everyone to be patient. Gloucester County is capable and will continue to be prepared for both first dosage and second dosage appointments as long as the state continues to supply vaccines and appointments.
Gloucester County is informing all visitors of the current situation with second vaccine scheduling and providing them with handouts to further amplify the message.
The Gloucester County Mega Vaccination Site is staged at Rowan College of South Jersey located at 1400 Tanyard Rd. Sewell 08080.
New Jersey is rolling out COVID-19 vaccines this month in a phased approach to all adults who live, work or are studying in the State. Within six months, New Jersey aims to vaccinate 70 percent of the adult population.
