1. How is the HIV test done?

The test requires a drop of blood from your finger.

2. When do I get my results?

The test takes 20 minutes and you receive your results before you leave the clinic.

3. What if my test is positive?

• If your finger stick blood test is positive, another finger stick blood test kit will be used for confirmation.
• You will be referred to a medical provider for treatment.

4. Are my test results reported to anyone?

• All positive tests will be reported to the New Jersey Department of Health as required by law.
• With your consent, your test results will be provided to the medical provider who will confirm and treat you.
• Any other release of this will require my written consent or court order or subpoena.
