Serving nearly 28 years in the New Jersey State Police, Undersheriff Mark Anthony Rowe worked as a general road duty trooper for several years before being assigned to the Tactical Patrol Unit (T.P.U.) in Camden, New Jersey.
Undersheriff Rowe transferred to the Criminal Investigation Office assuming the title of Detective. Undersheriff Rowe also worked at various investigative units including the Camden Anti-Crime Partnership, Auto Unit, Casino Gaming Bureau Special Investigations Unit, and the Fugitive Unit where he spent nearly 12 years as a Detective, and ultimately the Unit Head when he was promoted to Lieutenant.
Undersheriff Rowe was detached to the United States Marshals Service NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force for ten years and was the Coordinator for the New Jersey State Police Crisis Negotiations Team (south).
Retiring in 2015, Undersheriff Rowe worked part-time for the Vineland City Police Department serving as the Accreditation Manager and was able to certify the department through the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police.
Additionally, Undersheriff Rowe assisted with firearms training, tactical training, and unarmed self-defense training, ultimately accepting a position with the Vineland City Legal department as an Investigator. Undersheriff Rowe earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and an Associate in Science Degree from Cumberland County College.
Undersheriff Rowe is married with four daughters and his hobbies include Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, playing guitar, and traveling.
