Any Gloucester County citizen interested in becoming a notary public can obtain an application from the Clerk’s Office. Then, a State Senator or Assemblyman must sign the application. Once the paperwork comes back to the citizen from the state, he or she appears before the County Clerk’s Office in order to be sworn in as a Notary Public of the State of New Jersey. Notaries can be sworn in at any of the County Clerk’s locations excluding the Election Office.
Please view copies of the Notary Manual and the Notary Application on the New Jersey Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services.
